It was 1823, and Britain was buzzing with the news of the discovery of a new tea variety growing in the lush hills of Assam...
...Tender young plants and first samples of this new tea were urgently dispatched by ship to England. A local plantsman went with the plants, to make sure they arrived in peak condition. The crew named him Chai Green…
(Green from his love of plants, and chai for the brew he made onboard for himself and the crew)
Lovely interior, Karak chai was really good and reasonably priced, the menu looked really good, will try the food next time.
Was recommended by a uber driver. We came for a trip from Sheffield would definitely come back if we are in Birmingham. Halwa Puri was lovely and even was offered a complementary dish.
I love breakfast out with the husband and after trying so many places around Bham this is definitely one of our favorites. The Desi breakfast is lovely with real pranthas instead of the frozen type. The English style breakfast is equally tasty.
Lovely Indian breakfast for a great price! Delicious spiced channa with the Puri. I found the Keema a little too rich, highly recommend the Karak Coffee.
Omg Kashmiri Pink Chai was the best, being honest, food and chai was 100%. Loved their Desi breakfast and chai's. The Keema is the most popular pick and am glad I tried it, it really was delicious.
I would 100% be back to this place, the staff had really good customer service too came around a few times to make sure everything was ok and if we had any problems.
Lovely atmosphere, staff are polite and helpful, food is good and well presented
This is by far the best chai place around. The desi chai is amazing. You can tell by the food they use good quality food. Also the paratha is freshly made unlike other places that use the frozen ones. I'd definitely recommend.
